KOTA KINABALU: Two men have been arrested for allegedly making false claims amounting to RM336,000.
Sabah Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director S. Karunanithy said the two men were nabbed at the MACC office in Sandakan after they were taken in to assist investigations into the case on Tuesday (April 6).
The duo, both aged 46, had allegedly made the fraudulent claims pertaining to a 1Malaysia mobile clinic boat maintenance project in 2019.
One of them is a company manager while the other is a civil servant.
Both suspects were brought to the Sandakan Magistrate’s Court for a remand order application on Wednesday (April 7).
Both suspects will be under remand until April 12.
